Today we officially appoint our trainees as Panel Members, as they complete their pre-service training. After an impressive fully digital campaign, recruitment and selection process, and pre-service training we are thrilled to welcome our largest group yet.

National Convener, Elliot Jackson, said: "Today Children's Hearings Scotland (CHS) officially appoints, and welcomes our largest cohort of new Panel Members. Our new colleagues are dedicated to supporting infants, children, young people and families attending children's hearings in their local communities. Together, I am confident that we will keep #ThePromise.

As a result of the coronavirus restrictions, we moved our 2021 recruitment campaign fully online. We were absolutely blown away by the amount of people from Scotland's communities that applied to the role. Our local volunteer Area Support Teams took on an entirely virtual interview and selection process, successfully appointing empathetic, committed and high quality trainees - who today become Panel Members.
