Meet the South East Area Support Team (AST)

Your South East AST is here to support you every step of the way.
Covering East Lothian, Edinburgh, Midlothian and Scottish Borders, our team brings together staff and volunteers who make sure Panel Members feel connected, confident and supported.
From wellbeing and learning, to practical guidance and local knowledge, the South East AST ensures you have the people and resources you need to make a difference.
Once appointed, you’ll also have access to our Regional Hub – your one-stop space for updates, tools and support throughout your volunteer journey.
Where hearings take place
Hearings can be held online or in-person, you will be notified of this when allocated a hearing by the Resource Allocation Team.
There are four hearing centres in South East:
Dalkeith Hearing Centre, 29 Elmfield Court, EH22 1DY
Edinburgh Hearing Centre, 1 Fountainhall Road, EH9 2NL
Selkirk Hearing Centre, 12 Ettrick Terrace, TD7 4LE
Tranent Hearing Centre, 1 Loch Road, EH33 2JX
When hearings take place
As a volunteer Panel Member, you are required to attend two sessions per month. You can keep CHS up to date with your availability.
